Neurodivergent Friendly Digital Marketing Consulting & Strategy Assistance

Neurodivergent-Friendly Provider

DIFFERENT BRAINS
WORK DIFFERENTLY.

I believe good business support should work with your brain, not constantly ask you to fight against it. My approach to consulting is intentionally neurodivergent-friendly, with particular understanding of ADHD and autistic experiences while recognizing that neurodivergence encompasses a much broader spectrum of brains, needs, strengths and ways of processing the world.

Accessibility Isn’t An Afterthought
YOU SHOULDN’T HAVE TO PRETEND YOUR BRAIN WORKS DIFFERENTLY JUST TO DO BUSINESS.

I don’t expect every client to communicate, organize, remember, process information or make decisions exactly the way I do. The goal is to create a way of working together that allows both of us to do our best work.

Why This Matters To Me

I DIDN’T ALWAYS KNOW I WAS AUTISTIC.

I spent years building businesses, working in digital marketing and eventually running an agency without realizing that I was autistic.

I knew I was capable of becoming intensely focused on something that interested me. I knew I could spot patterns, learn complicated systems quickly, disappear down technical rabbit holes and connect ideas that didn’t necessarily seem connected to anyone else.

I also knew that some things seemed to take considerably more energy from me than they appeared to take from other people.

33
During my recovery from burnout after running my agency, I discovered at age 33 that I was autistic. Suddenly, a lot of my life made considerably more sense.

Understanding my own neurodivergence gave me language for qualities I had experienced for years: intense focus, deep curiosity, pattern recognition, directness, sensitivity, unconventional problem solving and the need to truly understand how something works rather than simply accepting that “this is how it’s done.”

But there was another realization that mattered just as much.

I started looking back at some of the challenges my clients had experienced with communication, instructions, organization, implementation and follow-through. And I realized that sometimes the problem wasn’t motivation or capability.

Sometimes the way the information was being delivered simply didn’t work for their brain.

Neurodivergence + Entrepreneurship

BUSINESS REQUIRES A LOT FROM A BRAIN.

Entrepreneurship asks you to move constantly between strategy, communication, sales, administration, creativity, technology, planning and execution.

For a neurodivergent entrepreneur, that can create an unusual combination of enormous strengths and very real friction.

Executive Function Knowing what needs to happen and being able to initiate, sequence and complete those tasks are not always the same thing.
Working Memory A great conversation can disappear from working memory once five other things compete for attention. Documentation can turn an idea into something usable later.
Task Switching Moving repeatedly between unrelated tasks can consume enormous amounts of mental energy, even when each individual task seems relatively simple.
Overwhelm A project that arrives as one enormous instruction can feel impossible. The same project divided into visible milestones can suddenly become manageable.
Communication Differences Ambiguous expectations, implied meaning and vague instructions can create unnecessary confusion when clearer communication would solve the problem.
Hyperfocus Deep focus can produce exceptional work, but it can also make transitions, interruptions and prioritizing competing responsibilities more difficult.
Time Perception Estimating how long something will take, sensing approaching deadlines and balancing immediate versus future tasks can require more external structure.
Perfection + Detail Seeing every possible improvement can be incredibly useful until the details make it difficult to decide when something is finished enough to move forward.
How I Accommodate

WE BUILD A WAY OF WORKING THAT ACTUALLY WORKS.

Neurodivergent-friendly does not mean assuming every neurodivergent person needs the same accommodations. It means being willing to communicate, document, explain and structure our work in ways that make it easier to understand and execute.

I Document Things

You shouldn’t have to rely on memory alone. Important strategies, decisions, next steps and processes can be documented so you have something concrete to return to after the conversation ends.

Multiple Ways To Understand

Sometimes hearing something makes it click. Sometimes you need to read it. Sometimes you need an example, diagram, recording or step-by-step breakdown. When appropriate, we can use different formats to make an idea easier to process.

Grace + Processing Space

Not every answer needs to happen instantly. You can need time to process an idea, formulate a question, revisit a decision or come back after your brain has had space to work through it.

Goals Become Milestones

“Build the thing” is not a useful action plan. We can break larger goals into visible stages, decisions and next actions so you know where you are, what matters now and what can wait.

Clear Communication

I would rather explain what I mean than make you decode it. We can use clear written, verbal or audio communication where appropriate, and you are welcome to ask for clarification.

We Can Adjust

If something isn’t working, we don’t have to keep doing it simply because that was the original process. We can identify the friction and find a more functional way forward.

Better For You + Better For Me

GOOD ACCOMMODATIONS MAKE GOOD BUSINESS.

Neurodivergent-friendly practices aren’t just about making someone feel comfortable. They can reduce misunderstandings, prevent unnecessary rework and make collaboration more efficient for both of us.

Clarity

Clear expectations mean less energy is spent trying to determine what someone meant. You know what I need from you, I know what you need from me, and we can spend more of our time solving the actual problem.

Concise

More information isn’t automatically better information. When something can be communicated simply, I try to remove the unnecessary noise so the important part is easier to identify and act on.

Explanation

I don’t want you following instructions you don’t understand. Knowing the reasoning behind a strategy makes it easier to make independent decisions later instead of becoming dependent on someone else for every answer.

Patience

Processing speed and intelligence are not the same thing. We can give complicated decisions enough space to be understood instead of manufacturing urgency where it isn’t actually useful.

Repetition

You are allowed to ask again. Sometimes information needs to be heard more than once, revisited later or explained differently before it becomes usable. There is no shame attached to that here.

Support

Support doesn’t mean doing everything for you. It means helping you build enough structure, understanding and confidence that you can keep moving when I am not sitting beside you.

This Goes Both Ways

HOW WE CAN THRIVE TOGETHER.

I’m neurodivergent too. That means I don’t think accessibility should be a one-directional expectation where one person’s needs matter and the other’s disappear.

The strongest working relationships happen when we understand each other, communicate clearly and create expectations that both people can realistically meet.

01

Understand Boundaries

We respect working hours, response times, capacity and the scope of our relationship. Boundaries create predictability, and predictability gives both of our brains more room to focus on the work.

02

Use The Right Communication Channels

Information scattered between email, Messenger, texts, comments and random DMs is easy to lose. We agree on where important communication belongs so neither of us has to hunt for it later.

03

Be United

We are on the same side. Consulting works best when we’re solving the problem together rather than trying to impress, mask, defend or prove something to each other.

04

Choose Transparency

Tell me when you’re confused. Tell me when something isn’t working. Tell me when your capacity has changed. I will do the same. We can solve what we actually know about.

The Other Side Of The Story

THERE ARE BENEFITS TO AN AUTISTIC PROVIDER, TOO.

Autism isn’t a list of business advantages, and no two autistic people have identical strengths. But my particular autistic brain brings some pretty useful qualities to strategy, marketing, technology and problem solving.

MY BEAUTIFUL
AUTISTIC BRAIN
Strategy • Marketing • Tech • Execution
⚡ HYPERFOCUS When a problem grabs my attention, I can go very deep and stay with it long enough to understand what is actually happening.
◉ PATTERN RECOGNITION I tend to notice relationships, inconsistencies and recurring patterns across marketing, behaviour and systems.
✦ SYSTEMS THINKING I rarely see one isolated problem. I see the surrounding pieces and how changing one thing affects everything else.
✎ CREATIVE THINKING My brain makes unusual connections, which is particularly useful when the obvious answer isn’t solving the problem.
⌘ TECHNICAL CURIOSITY I like knowing how things work. Platforms, automations, funnels and digital systems are puzzles I genuinely enjoy figuring out.
🔎 DEEP RESEARCH Surface-level answers rarely satisfy me. If something matters, I want context, evidence and enough information to understand it properly.
◇ DETAIL DETECTION Tiny inconsistencies can jump out at me. That becomes particularly useful when reviewing strategy, messaging and systems.
→ DIRECT COMMUNICATION I value saying what I mean and explaining why. You don’t need another consultant hiding useful information behind impressive-sounding language.
✧ UNCONVENTIONAL CONNECTIONS I often connect ideas from completely different places and turn them into strategies that aren’t immediately obvious.
↻ PROBLEM PERSISTENCE An unsolved problem tends to stay in my brain. I have a difficult time accepting “it just doesn’t work” when I think there’s still an answer hiding somewhere.
A note about neurodivergence: These are qualities I recognize in myself and in the way I work. They aren’t intended as universal claims about autistic, ADHD or otherwise neurodivergent people. Different brains have different strengths, challenges, support needs and ways of experiencing the world.
No Performing Required
YOU DON’T HAVE TO MASK YOUR WAY THROUGH WORKING WITH ME.

Ask the extra question. Tell me you forgot. Ask me to explain it differently. Tell me the giant project needs to become five smaller ones. Take a minute to process. Bring the notebook, the voice note, the seventeen browser tabs or the oddly specific analogy that makes the entire thing suddenly click.

We are here to make the business work.
